Service Description

The HeArt of Me is a creative, heart-centered 10-week class designed to help children explore, understand, and express their emotions through the power of art. Using a variety of engaging art-based activities—such as drawing, collage-making, sculpting, and storytelling—children will learn to identify and name their feelings, recognize how emotions show up in their bodies, and express their inner world in safe and imaginative ways. Throughout the program, children will: - Build a rich emotional vocabulary beyond just “happy” or “sad” - Discover how to recognize, express, and manage big feelings - Develop empathy and deeper social awareness through group sharing - Strengthen self-esteem by making meaning of their emotional experiences - Create a visual "Feelings Portfolio" to document their emotional growth By the end of the 12 weeks, children will walk away with greater emotional intelligence, improved self-awareness, and a toolkit of creative strategies to navigate the ups and downs of life with confidence and compassion. This class supports emotional development in a joyful, age-appropriate, and deeply affirming way—because learning about feelings should feel good.
