Service Description

“My HeArt Journey” is a 10-week creative workshop designed to nurture social and emotional growth through hands-on art experiences. In a supportive and welcoming environment, participants will explore self-expression, build confidence, and develop important life skills such as emotional awareness, communication, and resilience. Throughout the program, children will learn about different emotions and develop healthy coping strategies to manage big feelings. Each session invites them to slow down, connect with their inner world, and express their thoughts and emotions through meaningful art and craft projects. Guided with intention, every activity encourages creativity while gently strengthening skills like problem-solving, empathy, and self-regulation. This journey is not about creating perfect art—it’s about creating space to feel, reflect, and grow. Projects may include: - Emotion color wheel paintings - “All About Me” self-expression collages - Worry jars and calming glitter bottles - Feelings masks (inside vs. outside emotions) - Gratitude journals and affirmation cards - Mindfulness and breathing art - Friendship bracelets and connection crafts - Create-your-own “calm corner” toolkit - Storytelling through mixed media art - Clay sculptures to express emotions Throughout the series, children will: - Explore and understand a wide range of emotions - Learn healthy coping strategies to manage big feelings - Strengthen self-awareness and emotional expression through art - Build confidence in sharing thoughts, feelings, and ideas - Develop empathy and social connection with peers - Practice mindfulness, patience, and self-regulation - Experience a sense of accomplishment and pride in their creative journey
